Iceberg 3.0 Enterprise Coming Soon

Things have been quiet on the Iceberg blog lately…

We’re working on some top secret new features which will be coming soon in the new Iceberg release code named “Iceberg 3.0 Enterprise”

Right now I can’t say more but what we have coming is very exciting and sure to change the way a lot of people think of building web applications.

Stay Tuned…

Iceberg at the Innovate Europe Masterclass

Last week we had opportunity to be one of 34 companies selected from 300+ around Europe to attend the Innovate Europe masterclass in Zaragoza Spain.

The event was an amazing experience for us and we got to network and meet with so many people of incredible calibre.

We’d like to thank Chris and Mike especially for organizing the event and bringing so many european start ups together with so much incredible advice.

Free Migration For Coghead Users

Yesterday I heard the sad news that unfortunately Coghead will be ceasing operations. At least the technology has not gone to waste and many of the team will be moving to SAP along with it.

I’m personally very sorry to see them go as they really did blaze a trail in this space and massively raise awareness across the media.

I’ve spoken with a handful of current coghead users who were interested in moving to Iceberg as not only are our pricing models similar or less but the overall model of objects with a visual workflow behind it will allow easy translation of apps from coghead over to Iceberg.

As sorry as I am to see Coghead go I’m even more sorry that some companies will be left hanging so we are offering free migration and consultancy to any Coghead customers who wish to migrate their applications over to Iceberg.

Users will have the choice of signing up for our hosted onDemand service or opting to run their applications from their own server. But no matter what happens we will never leave users with just an empty backup, our software will always be available for customers to download along with their backups.

Please email Cmigration@getIceberg.com to sign up or enquire about the offer.

I wish all involved with Coghead the best in the future and hope I can shake the hands of those of made it happen some day.

In The Economist

Last week we were covered in the print edition of The Economist

From the article

“WANT to become a programmer in 20 minutes? With the program from Iceberg, a start-up, you can. Just open the “getting started wizard” and pick the type of application, say “project management”. Type in its “business objects”—things like “client”, “team” and “members”—and tell the tool how they relate to each other. Then design some input forms and define the process for getting a project done. Another click and you are ready to go.”
